I’m looking for books that’s gonna inspire the hell out of me to care about my life more and seize the moments. I feel like I’m wasting away and it’s not just my depression talking.
Fiction or not, preferably nothing political.

“The Wisdom of Insecurity”, by Watts and “Be Here Now”, by Dass. These are not for everyone.
If Cats Disappeared from the World- Genki Kawamura
When breath becomes air
Lust for Life by Irving Stone spoke to me. I hope it does for you too.
The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro
I am sure that some readers took inspiration from *Wild* by Cheryl Strayed. I read it because I have friends who through-hiked the PCT, not because I was looking to change my life. But she does present an inspiring story, moving from addiction and sadness to a huge accomplishment which she achieved through personal reflection and physical hardship.
The gifts of imperfection by brene brown. I’m currently reading it and there’s a big focus on shame
Maybe not what you mean, but “A Slob Comes Clean” by Dana K. White and “The Worthy Project” by Meadow Devor.
