I realize this may be absolutely absurd but the song Kyoto by Yung Lean is so poetic to me, in a way I’ve never found material like it but desperately crave more. To better describe what I’m looking for, it’s the way he has lyrics that are full of gorgeous glimmering vices, then says something abruptly insightful in the next. I want to say it’s “hip hop poetry” but I know that’s a poor description of what I’m trying to get at. I’d also be thankful for a novel recommendation that comes to mind as well. Thank you in advance for this very difficult request lol
(Or if you’re just a fan of yung lean’s lyrics, I’d love a book you enjoy)
