I have recently starting a weird new phase in my bibliophile mania in which most of the aspects of my old reading preferences annoy the shit out of me now (must be a maturity thing) and have been experimenting with some classics and just new stuff in general so I don't really have a way to search for recommendations now. My current favorites are:
Jekyll and Hyde (old classic but I LOVED its exploration on the duality of man)
Flowers for Algernon (also liked the psychology behind it but also really loved the intrigue of learning the aspects of life i never even thought about)
A Gentleman in Moscow (kinda biased bc of my own heritage but loved the exploration of simple humanity even in such a limited setting. Also the poetry in the describtions felt so refreshing and beautiful to me. 10/10).
Currently reading the Witcher series and LOVE it so far, but I have literally only just started the Last Wish and progress is slow cuz its in another language (but u can't guess which).
Also remember REALLY enjoying the Ranger's Apprentice series by Flanagan, mainly bc it helped fuel my interest in history by exploring battle tactics.
In general I am a fan of fantasy n' stuff, but don't like most modern fantasy bc its all feels kinda unoriginal and too romance heavy. Not opposed to romance in books, but don't like when its the focus.
