My bf and I are driving from NC to FL next week and he’s agreed to listen to an audiobook on the drive. I’m super excited but now idk what to listen to! I’ll listen to pretty much anything except horror and mystery/suspense. I’m not sure he’s ever read a whole book but he enjoys shows about history. I think he’d like something non-fiction. I need something interesting and engaging! “Lies My Teacher Told Me” is on the list but idk if that will keep his attention, I’ve read some of it and it was presented very blandly. Suggestions?

Mary Roach books are fun non-fiction. She writes in an engaging manner, each book is about different areas of science but I highly recommend Stiff (about dead bodies)
Also, autobiographies of comedians are often fun, especially if read by them. Could see if any of your shared favorite actors/comics have books
Non fiction- Into thin air by John Krakauer. SO good! It’s about a mt. Everest expedition. I couldn’t put it down.
Project Hail Mary
My two favorite nonfiction audiobooks are “A Short History of Nearly Everything” by Bill Bryson and “The Anthropocene Reviewed” by John Green! Both over 10 hours, both have gotten me through long car rides.
Say Nothing by Patrick Radden Keefe
I know it’s Ila meme but I don’t care: DungeonCrawler Carl is an awesome book and I I’m can almost guarantee it’ll keep his interest!
How to fight presidents: Defending yourself against the badasses who ran this country by Daniel O’Brien. A collection of interesting facts about past US presidents.
Non-fiction **What If?: Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions** by Randall Munroe narrated by Wil Wheaton.
It consists of a series of questions on pop-sci and pop-culture, each answered in one or two paragraphs. The answers are hilarious in a dry-humored way.
An example question is: What would happen if you hit a baseball pitched at 90% of the speed of light?
