Ok I'll be honest. I didn't really had an idea on where to start with books so I bought myself cheap copies of Atomic Habits and The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. This may sound like a confession because I have seen a lot of people hating on self-improvement books not only in this sub, but avid readers in general aren't really a fan of them.
Anyways. I am currently reading Atomic habits and it's pretty good, at least for me. I'll finish it and read the Subtle Art (it's much shorter). But I am making already making list of books that I really want to read now and this is what it looks like so FAR.
- Notes From Underground by Dostoevsky
- The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka
- Crimes and Punishment by Dostoevsky
- The Alchemist by Paulo
- To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
- Steal like an Artist by Austin Kleon
- A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bysons (seems like a really fun book)
- Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
- Denial of Death by Ernest Becker
- 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene
This is my list so far. It's pretty basic I know. I would some recommendation. Maybe some hidden gems or a cult classic that I may not know. I would also like your opinions on my current list so far. I might make it a top 20 with y'all recommendations.
