Hello! I like a good holiday themed read this time of year, but hate over the top, tropey, gooey romantic Hallmark crap.

A romantic interest is fine, happy endings are fine, warm fuzzy holiday feelings are welcome…. It’s just gotta have something a little *more* ….am I making sense here?

    Thanks ahead of time!

    1. Hogfather by Terry Prachett. A fun story about Death doing Santa’s job while his granddaughter figures out who tried to murder Santa. It has one of the best monologues I have ever read at the end.

The Stupidest Angel by Christopher Moore

It helps if you’ve read The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove first, but it’s not required. As a stand-alone, it works and is pretty funny.
