I recently read Iliad and was deeply involved in the poetic atmosphere of it all. I heard that Aeneid would be the continuation of the end of the Trojan conflict, but I don’t know very well. Perhaps it would be better to read The Odyssey, which tells the story of Ulysses right after the war? But I didn’t want it to be an adventure, I wanted a continuation of that atmosphere of war and poetry from the Iliad.
Is there a Greco-Roman book that would follow this profile to continue learning about this time in history? And about its mythology.

FIRST, read about Leda & the Swan to find out about the royal quadruplets of King Tyndareus of Sparta. Next, read *Argonautica* by Apollonius of Rhodes to learn about the fates of Castor and Pollux in their journey with Jason & the Argonauts. Then, read *Medea* by Euripides to read more about the fate of Jason. Then, read *The Iliad* to learn about the fate of Helen, and about the Trojan War generally. Then, read *Oresteia* by Aeschylus to learn about the fates of Clytemnestra and her husband Agamemnon after the Trojan War, concluding the stories of the quadruplets of Tyndareus. Then, read *The Odyssey* to learn about the fate of Odysseus after the Trojan War. Then, read *The Aeneid* to learn about the fate of Aeneas, the last surviving Trojan prince, after the Trojan war (set at the same time period as the Odyssey).
