I’m looking for a book for my girlfriend. She’s Japanese with a good but not fluent level of English. Something which uses relatively simple language and grammar. Ideally will be fiction and light-hearted/heart-warming as opposed to dark and gritty. Last book she read was White Bird by RJ Palacio which she loved. Thank you in advance!
