i’m going through a hard time plus i currently have a fever and it’s impossible for me to follow complex plots or read wlaborate prose. i don’t want to think a single thought while i’m reading this book. i want it to be comforting and entertaining enough but not very good because i know ill forget it as soon as im done reading

This might feel like an odd suggestion – but Seth Rogen’s book of essays Yearbook is a good choice. It’s really funny and you’ll hear everything in his voice. The essay style chapters means there are contained stories so there’s no complex plot to follow.
