So, are there any good superhero novels like the DC ones?

I have a few of the Batman novels, but are there any lesser known novels that have a similar story and world as the Batman series? I want to write my own superhero novel, so I thought I’d check out similar works for inspiration.

I’ve already read Sanderson’s Steelheart. It was okay, but not really what I had in mind.
