Most of the books I read are fantasy — all kinds of it — but I’ve gotten tired of it. Too much of the same stuff, feels like I’ve seen it all. I used to read crime and horror a long time ago, and since fantasy got boring (and I just can’t get into sci-fi), I went back to crime books.
I’ve read all the Harry Hole novels and really liked them — the depressing vibe of the main character, the dark atmosphere, and the crazy plot twists. I’m looking for something similar. Got any recommendations? Doesn’t have to be Scandinavian, just something with that kind of feel.
