Our VP wants us to read Gino Wickman's Traction. I have, for whatever reason (factually or not) the preconceived notion that all of these types of books are scams, and my eyes glaze over just thinking about reading them. Either it's a Tony Robbins culty kind of scheme, or it's some millionaire swearing you can get to exactly where he got through both hard work and an inheritance through hard work alone, and please buy this book that reads like a bad LinkedIn post to make him richer. Are there any of these types of books that aren't like this? Maybe I can change my perspective on them. Maybe I read some awful one years ago and it forever prejudiced me towards them. I will read this book I have been assigned to find out what it's like for myself, but if you have other favorites that could genuinely help me learn about business and good leadership (I definitely do need to learn so I can lead someday) without being scammy, I'd love to know about them. Because now I'm suddenly interested in knowing what my bosses know. I just want to be sure I skip most of the BS while I'm at it. Thank you!
