Romance. I love romance in my books. But I don't want it to overshadow the story. Blending with it, thats ok. Taking it over, no.

I very much prefer series over single entry titles
Types of books I am ok with.
Pretty much everything. From Scifi to space opera to fantasy or post apocalyptic or even litrpg. I have read them all and love them all. Even dungeon core has had some golden books for me.
Why I am asking for suggestions.. I have read alot and am starting to find it very difficult to find books with a great story, great action and great romance and a series to boot.

Naomi Novik’s Scholomance trilogy fits this bill for my money. Book one is called *A Deadly Education*. The romance is almost completely nonexistent in book one, but it picks up.

Have you tried Neal Stephenson?
He’s prolific, he’s got action (Reamde, Zodiac) historical fiction (Cryptonomicon, the Baroque Cycle) time travel (Dodo) and cyberpunk (SnowCrash, Seveneves, Diamond Age)
Or Marge Piercy?
She has time travel (Woman on the Edge of Time) SciFi (He, She & It), historical fiction (Small Changes, Gone to Soldiers)

In Death series by JD Robb
I find most people haven’t read Mary Stewart since her books are old. They are breeze action capers with a romance. Not a series but a similar vibe to all. They tend to be easy to find at libraries & used book stores. (Talking about her suspense fiction, haven’t read her Arthurian fantasy trilogy.)
