Hey there, I’m looking for a novel to read out loud to my 8 and 9 year old boys that will pull them in. At this age I remember reading books like The Babysitters Club, Sweet Valley High and others like that. But I want to read them something that they can’t wait for another chapter. Not a graphic novel or picture book, but a real book.
I did try Harry Potter, but I think it wasn’t the best read aloud, of that makes sense.
Anyone have something that they recommend?
