The world has been feeling heavy for me as I know it has been for plenty of other people. I'm struggling to be optimistic or productive, and while I think that outlook is fair and reasonable given current world events, I'm trying to cope better. Obviously therapy, friendships, etc., but we're all readers here, so we all know the power of a good book.
So, suggest me a book, be it a recent read or a longtime favorite, that makes you feel…good? Hopeful? Optimistic? Empowered? I've been reading plenty, but I'm hoping for something that will shake me out of my current mental slump. Fiction, nonfiction, self-help, whatever.
Maybe these suggestions will helps others feeling glum, too. Thanks!

I loved the Midnight Library and currently reading When Things Fall Apart
“Big Magic” by Elizabeth Gilbert was a surprise comfort read. It’s not about productivity, but about finding joy in creativity
