I’m looking for something to pull me back into the magic of reading.✨ I used to read 24/7, but “adult life”got in the way, and somehow it’s been 10+ years since I’ve picked up a book just to enjoy it.
Recently, I’ve tried re-reading novels I used to love, but they feel a bit too juvenile now – I can’t relate to the characters anymore. For reference, the books I’m having trouble getting into center around teenagers and their lives – being in my 30s, obvious reasons make it hard to truly connect or feel like I’m in the shoes of a main character who’s a 16 year old lol.
Things I used to love in a good book:
-
long books or series (the more pages, the better)
-
dystopian or fantasy worlds
-
romance (i’m a sucker for it)
-
strong characters
-
a bit of humor
-
suspense (i looooove to be kept on my toes)
I’m not looking for anything super heavy or emotionally devastating — please no major tearjerkers. I’m also a baby, so no horror or paranormal recommendations either.😂
If you’ve read something that re-ignited your reading spark, I’d love to hear about it. Thank you so much in advance!!!
