I used to read a lot of fantasy as a young adult, but haven't read much besides non-fiction as an adult. I recently decided to try and get back into reading fiction after I came across someone's recommendation of The Scholomance Trilogy on this sub, and I absolutely loved it. As a young adult I was obsessed with anything by Tamora Pierce, and also adored the Dealing with Dragons series and the Maximum Ride books.
I would love some recommendations for another fantasy series in a similar vein, not necessarily young adult, although YA is fine. Although I'd prefer it be a series, individual book recommendations are appreciated too!
After reading over my post I'm realizing that all the books I described have a strong female protagonist; the suggestions don't need to have this. I think what I most enjoy about these books is both the magic element, as well as the protagonist figuring things out and solving problems/saving the world.
Thank you!
