these two are some of my all time favs due to the mystery/dark element (but not cliche crime) and the dark setting, very deeply emotional characters, etc. but i am looking for a more modern day type of setting.
prefer fiction, not too fantasy plss (witches, dragons, fairies haha, not really my vibe) but obv the ones i’ve listed above have some.
