I'm looking for books that make your hair stand on end or make you look over your shoulder from paranoia. Books that make you want to wrap yourself in a burrito blanket when you sleep. Give me your worst.
When I was working nights one time, I read 3/4ths of the way through a collection of Stephen King Short Stories and it took me 3 hours to fall asleep because I was already exhausted and sleep deprived and threw Stephen King into the mix 😂

When you find me by P.J Vernon
It’s not like terrifying, but it’s well written and creepy enough that I didn’t listen to it at night while walking my dog… especially because the storyline is plausible.
It doesn’t sound creepy in the description, but the writer does a fantastic job of creating tension and you as the reader start second guessing yourself and what you’ve already read
