Hi,
I am not an avid reader, but I would love to get a suggestion on something I could read next. I have always loved video games where you have a "safe space" to come back to – games like Dying Light (where you can come back to safe zones and are away from the zombie apocalypse) or Firewatch (where you can come back to your watch tower, which is a warm, cosy space).
Similarly, I have loved movies like World War Z (where the protagonist hunkers down in an apartment for a while before moving on to the next spot).
I have no idea what you call such a genre, but it's nice to read about having a cosy, safe space to return to before you head out for the next adventure.
If someone can relate to this and can suggest a book that has this kind of vibe, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
