So I used to love reading. I'd read daily from like 6 until I was around 14, but when I was 14, my foster parent stopped letting me read things she didn't approve of (think 'you can't read fiction, it'll make you mentally ill') so for ages i couldn't read. I'm trying to get back to my old pacing of reading, which was 2 books a week at *least*, but it's a struggle right now. I've tried reading shorter books, but it didn't help, so if anyone knows any good long books that aren't purely romance, I'd love to get some reccs! I won't read anything by Colleen Hoover, but anything else I'm up for. Thanks!!

Terry Pratchett’s Discworld books are fantastic for this.
If you are into fantasy read the acotar series, if you are into thriller read the silent patient, the housemaid, if you want a comfort read go for any book by fredrick backman like anxious people or the man called ove and eleanor oliihant is completely fine by gail honeyman, if you want to cry read the kite runner or the thousand splendid suns, if you are into murder mystery you can start with agatha christie’s books like and then there were none, murder of rodger ackyord, murder on the orient express.
Ilona Andrews Innkeeper Chronicles –A magic Inn, space werewolves and vampires, a lot of really unique aliens, mystery, romance, action, a fun and humorous series
