I am recently back into reading after having 3 kids under 5!
The most I’ve been able to read is four books in 5 years. But they were all mary kay Andrew’s books. I think the best way to describe it would be beach reads. I could easily set them down and do what I needed to and then pick it back up. They weren’t depressing or overly complicated. But the plot was active enough I wanted to turn the page. It also didn’t mess up my life completely. I have had bad habits of basically only reading a book or series until it’s finished and ignoring all else. Not exactly something I can do anymore.
I don’t really like smutty reads. What I really liked about mary kay Andrew’s was that it was a fun romance with a few sexy scenes but I didn’t leave thinking the entire book was that and the plot was super fun and built around it all. So I’m
Not opposed at all a little grown up reading 😉 but I don’t want to read books that mostly are that. Unfortunately that’s all my mom friends have recommended.
Any recommendations for some light hearted beach reads? But more like couch reads during nap time?

Emily Henry sounds right up your alley. Any of her adult novels other then Great Big Beautiful Life.
I’d also recommend Mrs. Nash’s Ashes by Sarah Adler and Flying Solo by Linda Holmes.
The Stephanie Plum Series by Janet Evanovich. The first one is called, *One for the Money* and all the titles have a number in the name so it’s easy to remember which order the books go in.
