Is it just my chemically imbalanced brain or do any fellow bibliophiles have discomfort letting someone borrow one of your books? My books are like people I’m responsible for. And a lot of people don’t take care of books very well. Dog-earing is a crime to me. If someone doesn’t live in my home I say no. In home I say yes but have book care rules. But it still causes anxiety.
