I remember my dad reading paperbacks like The Harrad Experiment and Candy and Portnoy's Complaint, and my mom had novels by Jacqueline Suzanne, and they both read Harold Robbins.
That era with expanding moral boundaries seems to have seen an influx of near-porn literature into the mainstram market. Can any one name more novels from this era that fit this description?

The World is Full of Divorced Women by Jackie Collins is a good one.
My mom had it and I’d sneak and read it when I was young. And now
it’s in my book collection since she died.
