I just finished Demon Copperhead and absolutely loved it. I am going through a very traumatic period in my life and this book has been very cathartic for me. Do you guys have any recommendations for books that are tragically sad but also deeply moving in many ways? Idk why it helps reading sad books rn. Maybe its why ppl like listening to sad songs during a break up. Lol. But something along the lines of similar wave lengths of this book is what I am looking for next.

Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes maybe. Not about a similar subject but has the complexity of emotion that you seem to be looking for. It made me feel so sad but *more* than just sad. It was kind of cathartic.
