Okay, so i’m not usually into “billionaire” tropes because they can feel super cliché, but i just finished this book called The Billionaire’s Darling Method (i found it randomly; I’m not even sure how, tbh), and i legit feel like it just cracked open my chest.
it wasn’t just the usual “rich guy falls for regular girl” thing. it was more like… she saw through all his armor, and he had to change. not her. there was this moment halfway through where she calls him out, and i swear i had to reread it like three times. 🥹
Also, the way it balances softness and strength in the main girl?? Ugh. love that. she’s not perfect; she’s anxious and unsure sometimes, but she’s still brave. i haven’t seen that done right in a while.
anyway, now i’m craving more books like this. emotional, character-driven, high-stakes romance with a little bit of glitz (but not totally trashy). any recs? perfect;
