The Little Paris Bookstore by Nina George! It does move out of Paris but in the most charming way – by canal in a narrow boat that doubles as a bookstore.

Not sure these are quite what you are looking for since the authors are not French, but these both are set in Paris.
Comfort read: The Loveliest Chocolate Shop in Paris by Jenny Colgan
Thriller: The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley

Le Père Goriot by Balzac (Old Goriot if you don’t read French) is a most excellent book set in Paris about an old fellow sacrificing everything he has for his two daughters to flourish in society.
An Englishman in Paris by Michael Sadler is a really fun reflection on a guy spending time in the city.
Daniel Pennac the Malaussène série is one of my favourites about Paris. It is centered around a “professional scapegoat” his tribe and of course Belleville
