Driven to Distraction (Revised): Recognizing and Coping with Attention Deficit Disorder by Edward M. Hallowell M.D.John J. Ratey M.D.
I was in denial about having ADHD for years, all of the symptoms people talk about on the internet apply to everyone so I thought I was just coping. This book opened my eyes and was more effective at helping me than medications. (But I do even better with the book + meds)
It also helps me understand a lot of emotional difficulties I have are just ADHD and coping strategies for them, where before I would search for reasons and the reason is actually my brain just does this sometimes
