I will be traveling to Ecuador in a few weeks and I will be staying there for four months; however, I believe I should be more knowledgeable on the history, the culture, and the political environment of this beautiful county. I am familiar with the general history of South America — such as Simon bolivar; its usual Left leanings; the dependency theory; etc. I would like a more specific book regarding Ecuador. If you have any recommendations, please let me know.
