I’m going through a rough patch and looking for books that don’t just explain depression, but feel like they understand it. Fiction or non-fiction, doesn’t matter really, just something that gave you comfort, perspective, or even just helped you feel less alone.

What books helped you when nothing else really could? I have some Jung and Sacks in mind, but I would like a more human approach

Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers. By Robert M Sapolsky.
Explains depression better than anything else I have ever read.
