Need a good gay love story that will make me feel something

i need suggestions for a gay novel that will make me feel the deepest most complex emotions i’ve ever felt – i’m craving one lol. preferably 18+ adult characters, nothing too corny or censored, and a story with deep drama and lore please! maybe even some mystery in there, i don’t know.

also wondering if there are any books that fit this description that are also up for adaptation into film/tv or in that process.
