I’ve been on bipolar medication since I was 15 (22 now) and I noticed that I have a very very hard time remembering words and articulating my thoughts, which is apparently a side effect of taking antipsychotics for a long period of time. It’s been really frustrating me because history/english/reading was always my strong suit. I also realized that I haven’t read a book since I was 15 (I dropped out of school around that time and have been working ever since) so I thought maybe if I started reading books, it would help with my brain being turned into moosh.
Sorry for the unnecessary lore drop. Anyways, I am looking for books that are similar to video games that I like, such as Fallout New Vegas, Portal, or Half Life. I’m not big into wizards and dragons and shit like that. I also really like time and space travel concepts if it’s done right.
Outside of science fiction, I enjoy historical fiction and biographies. I also like psychological horror.
If you have any other recommendations that would help with my foggy brain that are outside of what I just listed, feel free to share, as long as it’s not about a wizard.
