Looking for a few summer reads for an upcoming trip where I will have lots of downtime!

As the title suggests, I am looking for a few suggestions for a book that feels like summer!!

Recently read books that I rated well: A Thousand Splendid Suns, City of Thieves, The Berry Pickers, The Nightingale, East of Eden, Song of Achilles, God of the Woods

Likes: Likeable characters, Emotional Stories, Historical Fiction

Dislikes: smutty or cliche romance (not completely against romance as a genre but Colleen Hoover type books are NOT for me), anything too scary or suspenseful (I'm anxious enough as it is lol – added God of The Woods as that is the level of "scary" I can handle )
