Looking for a fiction book with African safari vibes (no racist tropes)

I’m looking for a fiction book with strong African safari vibes — wildlife, heat, wild landscapes (not necessarily hunting-focused). Preferably something immersive and adventurous, maybe with a bit of romance or mystery.

It doesn’t have to be set in real-world Africa. A fictional world with that kind of atmosphere would be even better.

Please, no racist or colonial portrayals of “uncivilized natives”
