Books like Devolution or Moon of the Crusted Snow.

I’m looking for mid to just post apocalyptic books, rather than 100 years later after society has been rebuilt.

It doesn’t need to be a global apocalypse, like in Devolution where it was just the end on a small scale.

Basically books where everything comes apart and the initial survivors start to piece things back together.

The first books in the emberverse series would work.

Does not need to be a hyper realistic, and the disaster does not need to be explained ( Like in the Moon books).
