Kinda shameful kinda not, but I’m 25 and just starting to read, well audiobooks. I have decided to take a step back from almost all social media, and work on improving myself and doing things I never did as a kid.
Books have always been hard for me, so it’s a challenge.
I never struggled with manga, so my journey started there and recently started playing audiobooks. I loan books through the library, and some have long waits so I like the idea of having a list to read.
So far I have played
-first 2 books of Percy Jackson (playing with my boyfriend)
-I’m on book 4 of Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children
On my to read list
-Eragon
-Charlie Bone (mom recommended)
-rest of the books in the Percy Jackson world
Besides a few books in schools this is really all I have read in my life (besides fanfiction if you count that)
Please suggest some fun beginner friendly books. Clearly I like fantasy and the supernatural, but also love post apocalyptic, horror, thriller, and Sci-fi.

Try Sabriel by Garth Nix. The audiobook is read by Tim Curry, which is fun. There’s several other books in the series, too.
