I just finished reading The Witchstone by Henry H. Neff and really enjoyed its writing and it was easy enough for me to get hooked (I usually read true crime non-fiction).
I'd like to invest into a series and did some research. As a beginner, I've noted ACOTAR, Once Upon A Broken Heart series, Grishaverse series, Mistborn trilogy, Darker Shade of Magic series, Prison Healer series, and One Dark WIndow duology.
I enjoy fantasy, but I've learned there are subgenres such as high fantasy, low fantasy, urban, dark fantasy, and YA… I think I'd like to entertain all subgenres except high fantasy.
I'm asking for additional or better recommendations as a newbie… thanks!
