Slow burn spice

I'm a man in my thirties and have spent my life reading books about war history or autobiographies. Then this year I realised I really enjoy spicy romance novels. But I enjoy the build up. I love a good sex, but hate when it happens to easy or too soon. So any recommendations for slow build spicy books would be much appreciated.
