Kafkaesque is used to describe something/a situation having a nightmarishly complex, bizarre, or illogical quality to the point of being oppressive. I'm looking for stories with dystopic realism, either short stories or novellas. I've actually only read a little bit of Kafka so if you have suggestions there beyond The Trial and Metamorphosis, I'm totally up for continuing with him as well.
