Can’t seem to find any books to fit my interest.

I'm 35/m when I go to the library I can't seem to find anything interesting to me. I like fiction, mystery, scifi. I enjoyed some of the jack reacher books. I don't like love stories, non-fiction, war related, sappy, or most apocalyptic stories. ( They move to slow for me) I really enjoy shock value. I'm working on my reading comprehension, so under 350 pages please.
