Right now I'm reading through East of Eden, and so far I'm loving it. However, I can't stop thinking about the book I'm going to be reading next, and as a huge The Last of Us fan, I'm trying to chase the feeling those games gave me. So, I'm looking for books with morally grey characters such as Joel Miller.
As we all know, Joel does some irredeemable actions throughout the two games. He knows what he does is wrong — and so do we — but we still root for him and love him. That's because everything he does, though selfish, is because of family, because of loss he endured years ago — and those things are something we all can relate to.
I have no idea if there's many books with characters similar to Joel, or if he is an anomaly, but all recommendations are welcome.
