A book that felt different the second time I read it
I re-read a novel I loved in high school, and it felt completely different. Back then I related to the younger characters; now I understand the older ones more
Interview with the Vampire. I read it in middle school, with the understanding that it was homoerotic, and found the “romance” to be too subtextual and subtle and not very gay at all really. Re-read it earlier this year (~20 years later) and I don’t know what middle school me was thinking.
