A very niche ask. I always have trouble remembering “big” or “bigger” words even after learning about them and would need somewhat more exposure to these words a few times to have it engrained in my mind. I’m looking for fictional books (non-fiction works as long as it’s not content heavy) where perhaps a “big” word is mentioned relatively frequently or a few times throughout the book so you truly learn the word or concept?
An example is 11/22/63 by Stephen King—the main character describes the past “obdurate” several times. Another example – maybe not the best because it’s a more common word – is the word “conviction” in Adam Grant’s “Think Again.”
Thank you!
