Your call ultimately but my experience was that I absolutely loved Hail Mary when I read it, then read The Martian and Artemis and they just didn’t work as well for me. They don’t have the same emotional pull to make up for weaknesses with character development, dialogue, and structure for me. I’m almost done with a reread of Hail Mary and I still love it despite its flaws

Yes. PHM is better. IMHO.
