I'm looking for engrossing, gripping books that'll keep me reading late into the night because they suck you into their world and you just have to know what happens next.
Here are some examples of books that have done that for me in the past:
- Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton
- First-hand accounts of North Korea defectors (esp ones who'd spent time in the gulags)
- A Song of Ice and Fire series
- From Hell by Alan Moore
- Normal People by Sally Rooney
- Prophet Song by Paul Lynch
- Harry Potter (when I was a teenager)
- The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen
- Zealot by Reza Aslan
- Memoirs of a Geisha
- Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt (I know, he was a fraud)
Thank you!
