There’s this girl I like, but she doesn’t know about it, and we’re good friends. She likes reading books, and since we’re meeting after a few years, I’m thinking of gifting her a book. But I’m not a big reader myself, so I’m not sure what I should give her.
ChatGPT suggested these 3 books:
1. Normal People – Sally Rooney
-
Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine – Gail Honeyman
-
Call Me By Your Name – André Aciman
Which one do you think I should give her Or you could suggest a book yourself instead?

Well, you don’t give any information about her likes or interests, but I would say probably none of those. Normal People is about a complex, not very healthy relationship. Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine opens with the MC having her private parts waxed and I stopped reading the book after that. Call Me By Your Name is a (I think fairly erotic) gay romance.
Buying a book is a brave thing either, get something from a author they read or one from the series they are reading, or a book you’ve really enjoyed and want to share with them, anything else is likely to sit on a shelf or end up in a charity shop
