What series/author that you have read a ton but kind of are bad?
For me. It's the Warhammer books. Some of the them are pretty okay pulp but overall they are trash. I must have twenty or thirty of them. How about you?
I like Poirot and Hastings as characters. But the mysteries are usually clunky, underwhelming, and rotate through the same few sets of stock characters before arriving at a contrived solution.

Clive Cussler. Some of the early ones are horrific regarding female characters and you know it’s all going to turn out okay, but I still gobble them up like junk food.

I’ve been reading Nora Roberts’s In Death sci-fi/crime romance series since high school. More than 50 books and counting. The plots have become more and more wildly improbable, and the sex scenes leave me bilious, but there’s something about Ms Roberts’s earnest commitment to the bit that keeps me reading.

I have put down quite a few Freida McFadden books but I always come back for more…

If this is the hill I die on, so be it.
Agatha Christie, the Poirot books.
The mysteries just aren’t that good.
