Hi guys! I'm looking to read books where characters and character relationships are the true stars of the story, pairing it with overarching stakes/a looming threat. I've come to realize I love this combination so any recommendations would be appreciated hehe Would love to have reccs where the target demographic is Adult too.
A few media/books that I liked that are like this are The Mortal Instruments/The Infernal Devices, The Secret Series, House of Anubis, The Pitt & House of the Dragon. I'm also currently reading Magnus Chase and loving it so far.

I recommend you read Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. The characters are complex and strong, their relationships are intricate, and the plot is thrilling and full of tension.
