    Hello!
I used to read a lot of fanfiction. (This got me into reading!) I have a hard time finding books I enjoy since I'm not big fan of most tropes or what's popular (im talking about booktok). I'm not a fan of dystopias, horror, or romance (I like it but not all in your face type of romance). I like science and history but not the depressing side of history.I'm looking for something to read and I don't mind the classics either. I'm just look for something entertaining. Thank you for your help!

Maybe Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green? Quick, entertaining read that I’d say falls between science and history.

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, it’s Si-fi and pretty funny. The audio book is also pretty good.

2001: A Space Odyssey. It basically set the tone for a lot of sci-fi tropes we take for granted now. It focuses on human history and evolution, and Clarke was a science communicator, so the science in it feels solid and believable

(Even if you’ve seen the movie, the book is still absolutely worth reading)
