Just finished The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon. Not bad! I liked it.
I was hoping to continue reading books set in that sort of WWII/post war (50s, 60s maybe even later 70s and 80s as well). But specifically I was hoping the protagonists would be comic book writers or artists. Anyone have some suggestions?
Thank you in advance!

I’m not gonna lie this isnt really answering your question but seeing the words “comic book” and “WWII” together instantly make me think of gravity’s rainbow, doesnt have a comic book writer/artist but thomas pynchon **is** the comic book writer since this novel is pretty much a comic book and one of the most comic books ive read in general (also comic books are mentioned but im 99% sure it doesn’t feature and writers or such)
I’ve been preaching this book everywhere now but it’s mainly because so many people don’t read it because “it’s too difficult” but really it’s only as difficult as you make it and although i found it rewarding to reread it numerous times, watch videos, read essays etc on it, i do think reading it for the first time on a surface level was one of the most fun reading experiences ive had so i do highly reccomend
